How To Use A Personal Locator Beacon

This guide provides the basics of how to use a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB). Easy to use, this device could save your life one day. We never go on a trip without one.

Step 1. Access Button

Slide down red protective cover to access button

Step 2. Open Antenna

Release antenna and set to vertical position

Step 3. Press Red Button

Press and hold red activation button until green light starts flashing then release button

Step 4. Line To Sky

Place in a clear area with antenna in vertical position

Step 5. Rescue

Leave beacon operating continuously until rescued
