How To Set Up A Tent
This guide provides the basics of setting up our tents. Tent models may differ but the principles are the same. All tents come with setup instructions in the bag. If you are looking to rent a tent please view our camping equipment rental page.
Step 1: Finding a spot (before you begin)
Before you begin find the flattest surface you can and clear it of debris.
Step 2: Stake out tent
Stake out the tent’s four corners ensuring the base is fairly rigid.
Step 3. Erect poles
Assemble the pole set then erect it by placing all four pole ends in the grommets in the corner webbing one at a time.
Step 4: Clip tent body to frame
Attach the large pole hook over the centre of the poles then snap on the remaining clips.
Step 5: Add rainfly
Drape the rainfly over the tent
Affix the rainfly to the frame by wrapping the four velcro straps on the underside of the rainfly around the metal poles (if any).
Connect the corner buckles and adjust tension equally.
Stake down the loops on the doors and adjust tension equally.
Note: for one person tents - A guyline on the opposite side of the door is provided. On this side of the tent the underside of the rainfly can be attached to the tent body and guyline staked out to open up the space inside the tent.
