How To Use A Water Filtration System

This illustrative guide shows the basics of how to use a Water Filtration System. Clean water is essential for any camping trip.

Step 1. Fill Bag

Fill provided bag with water from source

Step 2. Clean Bag

Wipe off any non-filtered water from the outside of the bag to help prevent cross contamination

Step 3. Attach system

Screw Sawyer Mini System onto the bag

Step 4. Expel Water

Aim into a drink bottle and gently squeeze/ roll the bag to expel water and fill up your bottle. Do not use excessive force as bag can break

Water Tips

  • Water can be scarce or non-existent in some areas - ensure you plan ahead.

  • If filling from a stream collect from a faster flowing section.

  • You can increase your water carrying capacity by filling the filtration bag and putting the cap on it. Run it through the filter later.

  • Saltwater cannot be used in the filtration system.
